Affixed Cards & Labels

Affixed Labels

Why use an Affixed Label vs. an Integrated Label?
An Affixed Label can be manufactured in specialty materials and papers such as latex, vinyl, clear vinyl (window stickers), foils etc. Normally, Integrated Labels are constructed of standard forms bond. Special applications such as severe environments or a window sticker will usually require an affixed label.

Special Numbering and Barcoding
Standard labels can be manufactured with a variety of numbering options. The numbered label is then affixed to the form.

End User Preference
Although this is less and less of an issue, some end users still prefer a standard affixed label over an integrated label.

Backer Copy Requirements
An affixed label does not block out areas of backer printing the way an Integrated Label will. Sometimes an end user is unable or unwilling to reset or change backer copy which will make the affixed label the better choice over an integrated label.

Affixed Cards

njbf provides laser compatible affixed cards in continuous and cut sheet formats. Choose from Tag, Vinyl, Kimdura, Poly-Laser.

The following are some guidelines to follow when considering clean release affixed cards:

Tag Cards
Available in 7,8 or 10 Point stocks. Tag is compatible with impact printers and laser printers. It is usually considered a temporary ID card solution because Tag is not as durable as true plastic. Tag has the least cost of all the options.

Vinyl Cards
Vinyl cards are usually ordered in 8 or 10 mil thickness. They are compatible with Ink Jet or Laser Printers. Vinyl is available in either gloss or matte finish. It is a step up in cost from the Tag material affixed card.

Kimdura Cards
Kimdura is available in 8 or 10 point thickness and is very common for long run card jobs being impact printed. Kimdura compatible with ballpoint pens and prints well in four color process. Kimdura is more expensive than vinyl.

Polypro
Polypro is available in an 8 Mil thickness in Matte Finish. It is less expensive than Kimdura and about the same cost as Tag. It is not signature compatible, so this material requires a signature panel. Polypro is more durable than Kimdura.

Polyester
Polyester is available in a 7 Mil Thickness. It is very compatible with Laser Printers. Polyester prints well in four color process and is extremely durable, however, it is the most expensive of all affixed options.

njbf can provide form/label combinations in both Affixed formats and Integrated Label formats.
